About

My name is Peter Frisina, I am a Tucson native, married with two grown kids and one grandchild. I have been providing firearms instruction for almost ten years. I started by teaching family and friends and realized I wanted to do more. I decided to get my instructor certification through the NRA in 2016 and started my own business, Desert Rock Firearms Training and Safety. I recently also certified as an instructor through the USCCA to advance my training and qualification as an instructor. I always like learning something new or different. I strive to uphold safety protocols and teach proper fundamentals. I strongly believe that it is important to make ourselves, our families and our communities safer through affordable, professional and attainable training and education.

My goal is to effectively pass on as much of my knowledge to each student as I possibly can. I tend to be very detailed oriented and that is highly reflected in the way I teach. I enjoy training students with any skill level, interest and need. My specialty is new shooters, however I thoroughly enjoy helping firearm owners who want to increase their level of experience or proficiency.

It is important to not only know the firearm handling and safety protocol, but to practice these fundamentals and isolate each step to increase ability and awareness.
